|Position Description:||Concept Solutions is hiring a Software Developer for a FEMA government contract.
The data warehouse program loads Grants and Financial data from 11 different systems. The primary use of the data warehouse is to provide biweekly reporting to FEMA officials and support Adhoc reporting and Congressional inquires. In addition, ETL processes and procedures are utilized to refresh data from the 11 feeder systems where data will be validated, cleansed and loaded. .
The primary responsibility of software developer is to assist in maintaining the current system; execute, enhance and ensure ETL data integrity within the ETL process; and work with end users related to their reporting needs. In addition, ensure all documentation is update to capture business rules and procedures. The desire is to continue to modernize the current system by introducing additional technologies, work with customers related to reporting and data mining requirements, and continue to improve data quality and efficiencies.
Responsibilities include but are not limited:
¿ Software developer in support of a grants and financial data warehouse,
¿ Maintain and enhance ETL process and procedures
¿ Track and report on grant payment and awards
¿ Produce ad-hoc and congressional reports
¿ Develop scripts to scrub, normalize and validate system data files
¿ Understanding of windows registry, DDL libraries, BAT files, and deployment methodologies
¿ Ability to be flexible and manage multiple priorities
¿ Strong understanding of Data Warehouse principles, dimensional modeling, and analytical fundamentals
Education/ Main Requirements:
¿ A Bachelor¿s degree in Business/IT/computer science or related fields from an accredited college or university and minimum of four (4) years of experience.
¿ Strong SQLServer, .NET, Access and VBA skillset
¿ Must be able to obtain government security clearance (Public Trust).
¿ Ability to pickup new technologies and integrate;
¿ Must have ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects simultaneously;
¿ Excellent organizational, verbal and technical writing skills and ability to interact with all levels of personnel;
¿ Must have ability and experience working with a distributed team;
¿ Good understanding of Business Objects, Crystal Reports, HTML, CSS and XML;
¿ Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information;
¿ Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Excel. Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
¿ Ability to work well independently in a fast-paced environment.
